Star Trek offers hope to a new generation

Rachel recently posted her review of Star Trek XI as well as her thoughts of the franchise reboot on Denver Post online:

To the new audience of Trekkers, I offer welcome and a word of advice. We live in uncertain times. May you find courage and hope with your popcorn and pop. Always keep your phaser set on stun and follow the Prime Directive. And when your non-believing friends poke gentle fun at you, take the high road and offer the noblest of salutations for today and the future:

"Live long and prosper."

I believe that nothing is

I believe that nothing is impossible if we join hands together to achieve success.Even though we are in the midst of crisis,we can still do something to create change.America's income distance disparity continues to expand at breakneck pace. True economic recovery will be difficult to achieve under such conditions of disparity, argues Steven Pearlstein within the Washington Post. Pearlstein sees nothing within the GOP economic response to indicate they're committed to closing the gap, and unfortunately the exact same appears to hold true for the current administration.
